  • Hello Governor Kelly, part duex

Kobach got smoked. I can see my taxes in total go up over $200 a month.

    Cruz is struggling too.

Wish the GOP ran a more electable candidate.

My taxes went up when Brownback’s “tax cuts” passed many years ago; I doubt I’m the only one. Many of Brownback’s donors changed their legal entity, and suddenly paid next to nothing. Kobach couldn’t get away from residual payback for Brownback. Sad...I thought it’d be a long while before KS started looking purple again.

I haven't found out for sure yet but I suspect Johnson County turned blue this cycle

Given all the socialist KU graduates coming here along with KCMO socialists escaping the mess they created across the state line JOCO will remain blue for the foreseeable future

This doesn't bode well for R's in Kansas

Yep Hollowpoint, I felt it too. I had a feeling Brownback would do this to us, especially the way he robbed the State to cover budget shortfalls.

Interesting that Schmidt, who quietly served the office he was elected to won re-election easily.

Kelly ran saying she won’t raise taxes, so I assume she will raise taxes. Watch her start by raising fees for services, then a good old sin tax.

Cheeseburger says she doesn’t touch gun control this term.

I wouldn't say Kobach got smoked...but it was decisive. Without Orman and Caldwell it "could" have been different...maybe. They pulled enough votes to make the 4.5 points(last I checked) difference. Regardless, NSBT nailed it on a "more electable candidate". There are enough blue dogs in the state that were voting against Trump to pull it off.

JOCO is blue...now part of the I-70 corridor politics. And so was the eastern KS when I wen to bed. There may be enough in Larry Town to turn eastern KS in the next election...assuming I understand the district boundaries.

Tom, not a good bet. A better bet would be if the cheeseburger will carry a sin tax. LOL. Perhaps a good note...if I recall, Kelly claimed to she would seek to eliminate state tax on food.

            2018 Election Map

JOCO joins WYCO and Sedgwick counties

Looks like R's are done in Kansas

Who woulda thunk it, Kansas a blue state

Never been ashamed to be a Kansan before today

Don't forget...Crawford, Riley and Lyon are also home to an institutes of "higher liberalism" as well.

                Just looked at populations

Johnson, Sedgwick, Shawnee, Wyandotte and Douglas are the 5 most populous counties in Kansas and they are all blue

Yep, R's are done, too bad, in a few years Ks won't be a very good place to live

Glad my time in Kansas is down to 2-3 years. Many not have to weather the fall. I have a roof and walls in Arkansas and spend part of the year there, now.

I see it as 57% of voters said no to Kobach.

Its ok ok if they sin tax the cheeseburger, I roll my own.

Kansas is blue now, at least according to the map, it might be a long time before we have another R Governor and Davids will continue to be elected for as long as she wants

Was looking at Sheriff Jim's (Texas) Facebook and people were commenting about how close Texas is to turning blue, very sad, when we lose Texas and we beome a socialist country

Too bad, but the rest of the world is socialist to one degree or another, no reason to think we won't go that way as well

Davids, yeah, now we are sending our own Pocahontas to DC, but she likes squaws.

Jeff Sessions is toast. Watch Kobach sell his soul for the job.

Yep, you can bet he's on it. At least Wink won't be Governor and he's 1.5 mil down at last count.
