  • Wiper blade hack

I went to get some windshield wipers for the Tahoe last night, and nearly stroked out when the gal at Autozone quoted $70 for Bosch overmolded. I found store brand Duralast for about half that. lo and behold, as I sat in the truck while they put them on, I could read the Bosch name molded into them in a couple places.

Fishing has really brought that practice to light for me. Most fishing equipment is made in 1 of a handful of factories in China regardless of brand as I understand it. Those factories will then produce knockoffs and sell them in bulk via Chinese websites. Dirty.
Failure is an opportunity to learn.

Very true but it's typically a little more expensive. Those guys, from what Ive seen, are purchasing from Alibaba then resell on eBay, FB marketplace, or bass buy sell barter pages on FB.

Yes, Blue Sky does drive prices up. It costs Bosch a lot of money to advertise and sponsor race cars, etc. On the other hand, it could be that the Duralast that you bought was made to lower quality specs than the Bosch-branded ones. Usually one doesn't get more than they pay for. I have seldom regretted buying the best, but I have many times regretted cheaping out and buying less than the best.

I bought the cheapest phone case I could. It didn't last 7-8 months then rubber/plastic basically fell apart. Just like steel, Im sure there are different grades of plastic. Some wipers have lifetime warranty or atleast a two year warranty, buy new save receipts, warranty them if they are covered.
