  • "From the minds of Psychopaths: How not to be a victim"

Multiple studies have been done on how criminals select their victims. As such we have an accurate picture of what criminals look at in order to establish whether someone is vulnerable to victimization. Some of the most recent research on the subject confirms very startling notions.

You need to figure out what kind of victim a possible attacker is seeking. A rapist might want a 14-21 year old blonde wearing short shorts or might want to humiliate and dominate/injure a 45-65 year old mother.
A mugger might be looking for an old man with a walker or wheel chair. A mugger might just want to steal $2 because your $2 is $2 more than he's has.
Don't "look like" a wounded rabbit or fish" might have been the answer in the article.

The people think the Constitution protects their rights; But government sees it as an obstacle to be overcome.
If your religion says suicide and murder are wrong; Aren't you doing both if you are not prepared to defend your life and the lives of others?

Though it happens like that sometimes it doesn't. Some killers arent looking for anything in particular in a victim.

Rape is generally about control. Muggers are generally looking for an easy target whether that be an old man in a wheelchair or whatever.

Posturing is definately something that anyone who has taken a defense related class should be familiar with. Posturing is more than just walking upright.
Failure is an opportunity to learn.
