    Here's a video of a person who has never shot a gun being taught how to shoot in the context of personal defense.

    You'll notice trigger press, trigger reset, sight alignment, sight picture, follow through and other such things aren't mentioned. You'll also note Pincus doesn't spend more than a brief moment on grip or stance. What he does focus on is kinesthetic body alignment.

    It really is that simple.

    This was my approach to getting folks on the right path and it works. As we all know most people will not seek training and those who do generally only take one class. What that means for the instructor, teach the important stuff that they're most likely to need should they be forced to use lethal force. From there it's simply a matter of developing those skills and becoming more efficient.

    Teaching a person self defense shooting isn't really all that difficult

    It's the NOT GETTING SHOT part that takes time
