Thanks to everyone that gave me feed back. I appreciated it. I spent last night researching the various recommendations and narrowed down my criteria to be 1) Rechargable 2) under $50 3)Good reviews. All I'll say is I'm disappointed in your choices.

I think you made a good choice and if it turns out to be a bad choice it can be easily corrected, it's just a flashlight

I spent most of the night laying here trying to decide what floor sample looks best and if I should install it myself or not. Then it dawned on me, single boxes aren't really that expensive and there's a lot of wiggle room if I do it myself so if I get a cut or 5 wrong so be it I can just grab a new piece and start over. And trim pieces can be used strategically.

Don't worry, Dmog, I support you choosing what works best for you. If I'm ever in a situation where you offer to help, I promise to not be snobbish and refuse the offer based on which flashlight you're carrying. Ace2

I wouldn't sweat it. BTW, Streamlight makes some pretty good stuff.

A lot of the older reliability issues with tac lights had to do with the bulbs & recoil. Now with LEDs reliability and performance comes with a cheaper price tag. I prefer SureFires, especially their WMLs because I've never had one fail through deployments, work travel and high volume classes. I've got a few of their HHs, but I'm not going to buy one for every single place I might want to keep a flashlight. There's lots of cheaper alternatives that will work well for that purpose.

I have a fenix. It might not be tactical, but it works. Another thing I think is practical for carry are those cheap one dollar throwaways from WallyWorld.

Agreed. Thrown with sufficient speed, those little flashlights can be a good weapon, and cheap enough to carry pockets full, no need to reload from a bag.
