  • "Protection Preparation: Visualization Tips for Self-Defense Success"

"For me, imagination relates to defensive scenarios. We should envision those defensive situations that are most likely to happen given our lifestyle and location. We can imagine the proper defensive techniques that each scenario might call for. We can visualize using those techniques to deal with the potential threat."

"The body cannot go where the mind has not gone first." -Brian Stuart

I will add, at least not as effectively

    ETA:

When I was training BJJ/Ground Fighting we would do position sparring, meaning that rather than starting from a equal position we would start from a bad position and then have to try to work our way out. I think that when we visualize defensive scenarios we should also start from a bad position

Most important is to be honest in your visualization, can you really do what you are visualizing
