  • "Tai Chi for Arthritis Relief"

Very difficult to fight (SELF DEFENSE) when movement is impaired and like the lion see's the crippled gazelle on the African plain the human predator will see an impaired person as an easy(ier) target

Being de-selected is the ultimate goal of SELF DEFENSE

Typically with advancing age arthritis comes along for the ride

While there is no cure for most types of arthritis it's symptoms can to varying degree's be somewhat alleviated

    Tai Chi might help

    Pretty good article from WebMD

    From the article

"A review of four studies on tai chi found that it does not appear to significantly reduce pain or lessen the severity of rheumatoid arthritis. However, it does significantly improve range of motion in the joints of the legs and ankles. Those who got the most benefit reported participating more in their tai chi classes and enjoying them more compared with those who were in a traditional exercise program."

    And

"I'm an absolute huge fan of tai chi," says Jason Theodoskais, MD, MS, MPH, FACPM, author of The Arthritis Cure and a preventive and sports medicine specialist at the University of Arizona Medical Center.

Any type of motion helps lubricate the joints by moving joint fluid, which is helpful in relieving pain, he says. "Tai chi is not a cure-all, but it's one piece of the puzzle. What's good about tai chi is that it's a gentle motion, so even people who are severely affected with arthritis can do it. Also, tai chi helps strengthen the joints in a functional manner... you strengthen muscles in the way your body normally uses the joints."

Meh. Dick Van Dyke has been pushing this through infomercials for years.
    You know Dick, right?

And once again you show your lack of knowledge on a topic but because of your arrogance as uneducated as it is you choose to comment anyway

What Van Dyke is hawking has about as much to with Tai Chi as you have knowledge of even the most basic tenets of Self Defense

At least Van Dyke get's paid to show his ignorance whereas you do it for free

So let me educate you little so you won't continue to appear imbecilic

There are 5 major styles of Tai Chi, they are, Chen, Sun, Yang, Wu and Wu Hao

There is no Tai Cheng style of Tai Chi Chuan

Who knows, if you bear down and really really try you might learn something else today, I know, I know, asking you to learn two things in one day is a stretch so maybe just learn the one thing, tomorrow is another day

Not angry at all, just trying to educate you, I will admit though you are a chore

I don't know that I have ever run across a person that knows so little about so many things and seems to want the whole world to know it....... fascinating

Chances are the material is just over your head which I suspect is true of most things
