I picked up a Kimber Micro 9 Raptor this weekend. It fits in my pocket well and with the mag extension it came with all my fingers fit on the grip. I have not carried it yet.

It's been so long I forget how to post pics even from photobucket.

Sound like more than a toy. Seems like a tool.

My new EDC pistol: SIG Sauer P226 in .40 S&W.

I love the look of the wood, i just wish i could have found wood grips that a were a bit thinner. These make the gun feel huge.

Thank you. The cerakote was Magpul FDE. The "knobs" we're sanded off and then stippled. Another member on here is the owner of this now

This is beautiful. What color is the cerakote and what kind of grips are those?

    This one is for Gerhardt1...

I've been channeling my inner Gary lately, I guess, and have been on sort of a revolver binge.
Picked up two S&W's, both three inchers. A 686+, and a 629 Talo edition.

Spent some time with them this weekend, shot my thumb bloody with the full house loads in the 44! Going to have to get used to it, and will probably use a good 44spl defensive load in it when I carry it.

I have good leather ordered from Simply Rugged for both, and can't wait till it gets here, but will take about six weeks I'm told.

Haven't cleaned them yet, but here you go:

I picked up a stock Ruger SR1911cmd and decided to make it a project 1911. 1st of all I will say that Ruger has done nicely with their design. It comes from the factory with an extended mag release, titanium firing pin, and the plunger tube is integrated with the frame. So no more plunger tube staking to come loose! I hand file fit the Ed Brown Bobtail, and hand checkered the front strap. I have put a lot of Wilson Combat parts into this build, and lost count of how many hours I have in it. WC match flat trigger, bullet proof sear spring, rear sight, slide lock, oversized thick bushing, novak front sight, and slim line VZ grips. I hand sanded the giant warning label off of the frame, and sent the slide over to a machine shop. The ground .003" off the sides of the slide removing the factory badges. I also had them mill a flat top on the slide, recess the slide stop, and crown the barrel. This still has several Ruger factory Internals, and barrel. With all the time and hand fit parts, when this pistol is in battery, you cannot press the barrel downward. And as always, the cerakote was done by FTW Coatings!

THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE IT RAIN ON YOUR 1911
