Judge based most of it on this part of the range protection act: 58-3224: Same; regulation by local governments; taking of range for certain uses prohibited. So it didn't help me!

This range has been here since 1991 it was NOT a construction of a NEW one. This range has never been deemed unsafe and no evedence that it would be unsafe. It has been operating for 19 years without any documented accidents or complaints. And the judge still ruled against it......Oh well I'm done and working on recovery. I will get out of my lease at the end of July.

Is someone wanting the land to build on and their trying to get rid of you so they can do that? If they are and the land is lead contaminated they will have to clean up the lead prior to construction. As long as you use it for a range there won't need to be a cleanup. You may want to look at that angle.

So I saw something very interesting today, I was reading the Rural Messenger paper today and found the Kansas Clay and Hunts for sell. I know MC had said he was out of his lease the end of July, but the ad listed it as a shooting range. I wonder if the potential buyers will be told of all the legal battles MC has had.
Just thought it was interesting and wanted to share.

My thing is why would anyone in there right mind buy this place now, with everything that MC has dealt with over the last few months. Seem like more of a headache then someone would want to deal with opening a new business.
