I don't think he intentionally targeted Pat's, he just has a better business model.

Don't forget he also has incredibly better customer service than pat's ever did. You can stop in at Berry's and just BS with no pressure to do anything if you don't want to.

Pat is definately guilty of price gouging! But hey, I guess if some are willing to pay it, there will be those that will feel obligated to put it on the price tag. I imagine Pat is ready to retire anyways, he has more than enough rentals to keep him in buisness. I dont think he is looking to go out of buisness anytime soon though, they are still ordering guns to put out on display the last time I was in.

Barrys just continualy amazes me. A board member on here had a friend putting together an AR lower, he lost one of the springs and couldnt find one anywhere that wasnt 3 months backordered.... He called barrys and they had one. Went down there and they looked it over with him, turns out he was missing some other small parts, they helped him put it all together.... total cost $5.

Nice guys to deal with, I'll admit the first time I went in I was a bit nervous seeing how they are all large "biker" type fella's. I found out they worked there and are some of the easiest guys to talk to! No pressure to buy and they'll shoot the **** with you all afternoon if you want.

Yup, that's exactly what I was thinking about his better business model: he treats customers and potential customers very, very well.

The lighting and atmosphere in there are such a switch from most gun stores that my wife and kids actually like going there with me. If Barry has a fault it's that he gives my kids each a sucker, which means they walk out of there covered in stickiness.

Barry requested that I chime in and let you all know that we're going to be offering an online store soon! We've staked out www.ogdensbestguns.com and it's under construction right now.

And yes, to the subject at hand: We HAVE gone class 3! We got our first batch of silencers in yesterday, and our SBRs rolled in today. We've also got our first transferable machineguns coming, so look out for those! The back room where we keep the assault weapons now has about a fifth of its space dedicated to Class 3, and the ordering spree is just getting started. Heck, we have another DOZEN .22lr silencers on their way right now!
